Mission and vision

Mission

Mission of Higher Vocational College is to carry out a good quality program of economics, which will provide professionally well-qualified graduates who will find work either in business or in non-commercial fields.  Furthermore, establishing good interpersonal relations through open communication among all participants is of key importance.

Good cooperation with companies at students’ work experience and other forms of pedagogical work enables us to meet the labour market demands as well as improving and adjusting to new trends

We intend to increase our reputation and recognisability in local environment and wider, endeavouring for a constant improvement of our work and offering more programs in order to become an important factor of development in the region.

Full-time study

Full-time study lasts 2 years in accordance to programme of the curriculum. The first and the second year of study consists of 34 weeks of education each (24 weeks of lectures and tutorials at school, and 10 weeks of practical experience, which students do in companies).
Our educational accredited programme Economist consists of modules evaluated according to ECTS credit system. Tailoring the modules to students' needs gives them an opportunity to gain knowledge that will give them an advantage in the labour market. The credit points system enables students to transit horizontally among the modules as well as recognition of already acquired credit points in further education.
The study programme comprises of 120 credit points (CP):
Compulsory modules – 52 CP
Optional modules – 58 CP
Free choice subjects – 5 CP  and
Final paper thesis – 5 CP.

Passing into the 2nd year
Students who have successfully passed obligations of modules collecting minimum of 45 CP from a total of 65 CP can proceed to the 2nd year of study. Furthermore, students are also obliged to complete all the tasks related to tutorials and practical experience. 
A student can take the same year again, if he passes modules and practical experience accredited with minimum of 20 CP. 

Transition among programmes
A student who has passed the 1st year of Higher Vocational Education Study programme or the 1st or higher year of Higher Professional Education Study can enrol to the 2nd year of the Higher Vocational  College if it is recognised there is not more than 20 CP of missing obligations from the 1st year. Otherwise, transitivity is not possible.
